"Architecture of Performance" - Research Programme: Industry 2015 - New Technologies for Made in Italy, years 2011-2016
The project aimed at the construction of a timber module (XLam) for residential and office purposes, energy autonomous and made by innovative components by an energy and environmental point of view. The module was feasible for the upper elevation of existing buildings, also in historical European centres.

Development of the concept of the prototype of a minimum expandable living unit, modular, prefabricated, transportable, recyclable and near zero energy. The LIVING box prototype was built by Edilportale and open for preview at Smart Village 2013.
“Analysis and definition of building automation scenarios for the summer and winter time optimal operation of the sunspace in Ex Caserma Colombaia”- Research Programme funded by the Municipality of Brescia, years 2013-2014.
The project aimed to define the best solution and scenarios for the automation of a sunspace on the south facade of a building for social housing. The sunspace was monitored for one year and the results gave the possibility to improve the automation system managing the whole building in winter and summer conditions.
“ITACA Project: LCA of two wood based buildings in Gardolo - Trento (Italy) - Research Programme funded by ITEA SpA, years 2014-2015
The research project was to analyse and compare two multi-storey residential building with the same size, shape and destination of use, buy characterized by two different construction systems (Cross Laminated Timber Panel System and Timber Framed System) with LCA methodology.
“CASA project – Comfort for Sustainable Living in the Alps”- Research Programme co-funded by Covi Costruzioni S.r.l. and Autonomous Province of Trento, years 2014-2019
The project aims to:
a) define an evaluation and classification method for score indoor comfort condition in living places, giving weights to some parameters also depending on the building structure, envelope, materials and systems;
b) define those building elements characteristics that have a direct influence on indoor comfort in order to set up a classification “a priori” based on the designed material, components and solutions;
c) define a new integrated monitoring system considering thermal, acoustic, visual and IAQ comfort conditions.
“Passive measures for energy efficiency of school buildings: the pilot project of the Istituto Floriani" -Research Programme funded by ASSPE – APE - APRIE of Autonomous Province of Trento, years 2015-2016.
The aim of this research project was to develop an analysis procedure finalized to the school buildings energy retrofitting, verified with the case study of the high school “Istituto Floriani” at Riva del Garda.
AUSILIA: Assisted Unit for Simulating Independent LIving Activities - Research Programme funded by of Autonomous Province of Trento, years 2016-2018
It Is an interdepartmental project aimed to create a high-tech laboratory located at Villa Rosa hospital in Pergine Valsugana (TN-Italy), to study domestic solutions for elderly and disabled. It involves the University of Trento with DISI, DICAM, DII and BIOtech and the health care institution of Trento Province.
